Rev. Jeremey Lundergan, Pastor
Hi, I’m Pastor Jeremey and I am thrilled to be here at Odessa First and Wellington UMC! My wife Celeste and I have 2 grown children and 3 dogs. I previously served as a youth leader for over twenty years and as lead pastor for One Spirit UMC in Kansas City, MO from 2016 until 2020. I completed my undergraduate education – and met my wife at – MU. I received a Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh and my theological education at St. Paul School of Theology in Kansas City. I am also a musician and have been part of local music in the KC area since 2008. I come to the ministry after a career in labor and employment law, which I believe has given me additional insight into the day-to-day joys and concerns of living and believing in a world created good, but one that also can get real tough real fast.
I believe:
- God is love (1 John 4)
- Love is real and demonstrable through how we treat each other
- Therefore, God is real and active in our lives
- And if God is real, the implications are eternal
